Car Hire: 
It is a straight forward drive to Meribel and Mottaret mostly by autoroute.  It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Transfers  Public Bus:   Grenoble - Moutiers - Meribel-Mottaret

(It is necessary to get the bus to Moutiers (the town at the bottom of the valley) and then get another bus up to Meribel and Mottaret.)  

The price was 65 euros for a return in 2005/6.  Purchase tickets on arrival in the airport ~ the desk is right in front of the customs exit.
