Plan du Lac ~ Apartments ...

In a prime location metres from the central lifts and piste area of Mottaret.

The modern, under-floor heated interior is clad in traditional wood and stone. Each apartment has its own balcony (with great views.)

The building is L-shaped with part facing West and part facing South.  The views south are stunning and look directly at Mont Vallon.  The views west catch the afternoon sun and face the slopes from Plattières into Mottaret.

Location:  Superbly located, with car parking immediately by the chalet and the Huit-ahuit supermarket below.

Plan du Lac is number 52 on the map (click on image for larger version).

It is about 50 metres walk from the entrance to building  to the Plattières bubble lift towards Mt Vallon and Val Thorens.  It is then a few metres further on to the Plan du Lac lift directly to the top of Courchevel.   A short walk across the piste (or through the tunnel underneath) brings you to the tourist office, cinema, post office and commercial shopping centre of Mottaret where there are a number of further restaraurants and bars.

On the ground floor of the Mont Vallon Hotel, Le Pralin, Olympie 1 and Plan du Lac is a parade of shops and restaurants and a supermarket.  This is the centre of the "Le Chatelet" part of Mottaret.

This part of Mottaret is car free as the road passes through a tunnel underneath the area emerging just by the supermarket in the bottom right of the photo .  There is then free parking just to the right of the photo.

The Tourist Office and the main centre of Mottaret with a number of further restaurants, bars and nightclub is on the other side of the central piste area.  Click on photo for larger image.

The various ski schools meet in the centre.  There are two main gondola/bubble lifts running to the peaks of either side of the valley.  There are then a further three chairs lifts running half way up the slopes.  There are two shorts drag lifts in either side for beginner runs.  As well as a rope lift for young children and first day beginners.
