The apartments are all in the centre of Mottaret in Le Chatelet, each apartment has a great view looking towards Mont Vallon and/or across the main pistes.

Most of the accommodation in Mottaret is nearly ski in and ski out however when it comes to location we believe these apartment residences really do have the best location in Mottaret and the Meribel valley. But you don't have to take our word for it, look at the photos and maps to see in detail that they could not be better placed. See the location page and the Mottaret maps page.

Mottaret : Le Chatelet

In Mottaret the west facing slope is called Le Chatelet and the east facing slope is called Le Laitelet. The photo shows the commercial centre of Chatelet with a parade of small shops and restaurants along with some of the chalet residences.

The apartments available for rent are in the four chalet residences: Plattieres, Olympie 1, Le Pralin & Plan du Lac.

The parade of shops includes four ski hire shops and six restaurants. The main commercial centre of Mottaret, including the tourist office is on the other side of the main piste some 100 metres from the left edge of the photo (see photo below).

	Olympie I: *Apartments A, B & C* One of the most sought after chalet residences in Mottaret. Its central location gives it a great atmosphere and makes it very convenient for skiing. You can ski into the front door from the ski pistes and it is about 50 metres to the nearest of the central lifts of Mottaret. All the apartments have a south west facing balcony and get plenty of sun particularly in the afternoon. The apartments are just a few doors apart from one another (see below).
	Le Pralin: Apartments D, E, F & G are all on the eighth floor. The photos shows the upper part of Le Pralin (the eighth floor is the second floor of the part shown. There is a rear entrance and it is then a short walk to the piste. Next to the reception area there is a ski hire shop and Mottaret's best pub is next door. The apartments face south west and get huge quantities of sun. They have great balconies with spectacular views up the valley towards Mt Vallon and also over the pistes running into the centre of Mottaret.
	Plattieres: Apartment I Right on the piste, ski in and out this residence has fantastic views of the valley and of the pistes leading into Mottaret. A 10 second ski and you can sweep to any of the lifts in central Mottaret. This residence is perfect if you like to be on the first lift without having to wake up too early and is very convenient to ski back to for lunch.
	Plan du Lac *Apartment H* This chalet residence faces south and west. Apt H faces south. Plan du Lac is very convenient for shopping as it is above the supermarket at the start of the Le Chatelet parade of shops. It is also convenient for skiing as it is only about 70 metres to the first of the central lifts. The spectacular south facing view looks directly towards the peak of Mont Vallon.
